St. Patrick's Day Nails

For St. Patrick's Day, I wore Milani's Nail Lacquer 3D Holographic Hi-Tech, their light green holographic polish. I am so glad I bought this polish! I love it! It was easy to apply and remove, and it lasted a week until I was ready to remove it.

The green color makes me think of new grass in the spring. It might be a good polish for around Easter. The color is not just light green, though.  There are strong flashes of a gorgeous gold, too!  The holographic effect is not as strong as in my Glitter Gal polishes, but it's pretty strong, and it's one-third the price of Glitter Gal and more easily available because I can buy Milani polishes in local stores, but I have to order Glitter Gal online.

I am VERY new to blogging, and I took pictures with my cell phone, so the pictures aren't fancy or anything.

I used Sally Hansen Age Growth Correct (discontinued) as my base coat, three coats of Hi-Tech, and a coat of Seche Vite.  When you put on top coat, at first it seems like the holo effect is dulled, but as soon as the SV dried, the holo was back on my nails, if not completely back to its original intensity, at least so close that I couldn't tell.  These pictures were taken after a day of wear, including typing on a computer all day at my office.

This was in the sun, in my car, at lunchtime, on "casual Friday" (hence the jeans) the day before St. Patrick's Day.  ;-)  Now my bosses will figure out why my lunch breaks are so long!

Yup!  That's holographic!

These are still in the car, but without sunlight directly on them.  These may be the most color-accurate.

Blurry, yes, but ooh, Sparkly!

Thank you for reading!

    1. Thank you! Yay, my very first comment!

I am learning so much about blogging. Thank goodness blogger is so user-friendly and intuitive. Also, I have read a lot of really high-quality nail blogs, and I guess I must have learned something from that, too.

I love your blog, BTW! I was following it before as a "civilian" with my personal e-mail account. I still am, so now I follow you twice. ;-)

    1. Thank you, Paulina! You put a lot more effort into your St. Patrick's Day nails! I love the gold color on the tips of your nails. I haven't done nail art, unless you count magnetic polish and regular French nails.

    1. Thank you! It is definitely in my top 5 of favorite polishes. I discovered it thanks to swatches on nail polish blogs. In the bottle in the store you can't see how nice it looks on your nails.
